Kutna Hora is an old silver mining town founded in the 13th century. During the Middle Ages, profits from the Kutna Hora silver mines brought fame to the Czech Crown, and Kutna Hora became the richest and most powerful town. Visit the gothic St. Barbara's Cathedral with its murals and the former royal mint. Kutna Hora has retained the character of a medieval city and is one of the UNESCO heritage sites in the Czechia.
